Our History
Arksego Nigeria Limited was incorporated as a private security company on the 25th August, 1980 and has since been in operation.
We have moved from a private proprietorship and are now a company governed by the best corporate practices. The journey to transform into a privately quoted company has been completed, thanks to KPMG who looked into our processes and procedures.
In line with our corporate objectives and our diligent pursuit of world class practices and standards in service delivery, Arksego in 2017 obtained BV- ISO 9001:2008 certification and in 2018 obtained BV – ISO 9001:2015 certification, after a successful conformance audit by Bureau Veritas.
We currently have over 6900 operatives and a collaboration with Armed Government Security Force Operatives (Military Police, Marine Police, Army, Navy) seconded to our clients.
The Management Team

Segun Labiyi (Managing Director/ Chief Executive Officer)

Mr. Segun Labiyi is the Managing Director of Arksego. He has over forty (40) years’ experience in security operations and management, spanning across three continents. Prior to establishing Arksego in 1979, he worked at Vanni International Co. Ltd as the Head of Operations. He is also the Chairman of ARFA Automotive Limited, a joint venture company of Arksego Nigeria Limited and Farmingtons Automotive GmbH, Germany. He consults for both private and public sector institutions on a variety of security risk management strategies and has been invited to speak at several local and international conferences and seminars. Mr. Segun Labiyi is a philanthropist and donates a lot of time and effort towards community development, capacity building and individual sponsorship.

He graduated with a B.Sc. in Mathematics & Chemistry from Howard University, Washington D.C., USA and obtained a Diploma in Security Management from Cincinnati, USA.

He served as the Secretary-General of the Association of Security Companies of Nigeria (ASCON).

A Fellow of the International Institute of Professional Security (FIIPS).
A member of the Professional Security Association of Nigeria (PSAN).
A member of the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS).
A member of the U.K Industrial Security Management Association (ISMA).
A member of the Society of Security Practioners of Nigeria (SSPN).

Olayide Kayode- Alabi (Executive Director)

Olayide is the Executive Director, Corporate Services of Arksego. She oversees the Operations, Information and Communications Technology and Human Resource & Administrative Departments. With over twenty three years experience in she has served in various Management capacities, with a particular focus on corporate services, safety and environmental management.

She started her career with Environmental Development Company, Kano and Conmat Limited in 1994 and 1998 as a Project Quantity Surveyor. She subsequently joined Façade Technology Limited, Lagos as the Head BusinessDevelopment/Project Manager.

She Studied B.Sc. Quantity Surveying at the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University. She also obtained Master degrees in Business Administration from Lagos State University (LASU) and M.Sc. Project Management from University of Lagos. During her course,  she has attended several professional programs both locally and abroad such as Strategic Thinking Management at the Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania USA.

She is a fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Industrial Security.

Folasade Labiyi - Olalekan (Executive Director)

Folasade Labiyi – Olalekan (Executive Director) is the Executive Director of Finance and Strategy at Arksego. She oversees the Finance & Accounts, Business Development and Strategy divisions.

She began her career as an Investment Banking analyst at J.P. Morgan, UK, with a primary focus on equity capital markets for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Over the course of her career at JP Morgan, she executed a variety of transactions including: sell-side and buy-side mergers & acquisitions, leveraged buy-outs and both debt & equity financing. She subsequently worked as the Executive Assistant to the Managing Director of Sigma Pensions, after their acquisition by Actis.

Folasade has a Ph.D. and a first class degree (M.Eng Hons) in Chemical Engineering, both from Imperial College London. During the course of her academic pursuits she also consulted as a postdoctoral researcher for British Petroleum (BP) in electrochemical engineering. She was the recipient of numerous academic awards such as the BP Award for Academic Excellence and the BP Post-Doctoral Research Award.

Major Taoheed Abdullahi Adams (ret.) - (Executive Director)

Major Adams (ret.), a retired Combatant Officer from the Nigerian Army, is the Executive Director of Operations at Arksego. He has over 30 years’ experience in security management, conflict resolution and intelligence operations. Over the course of his career in the Military, he served as the Detachment Commander (NNPC), Director Army Administration and Quarter Master General Owerri, Task Force and Chairman Petroleum Distribution. He joined Arksego Nigeria Limited in 2012 as a Regional Coordinator and later rose to become the Director of Operations.

He holds a B.Sc. degree in Business Administration and has attended various security training programs, professional workshops and seminars from renowned institutions on Corporate Security Management, Emergency Operational Planning and Development, Emotional Intelligence and Terrorism (Challenges in Counter Terrorism Strategies, Effective Security and Intelligence Gathering).

James FAMUBODE (GM, General Services)

James is a graduate of Economics and has over 30years’ experience in Security Operations, He has evolved in the employment of Arksego to become the GM, General Service.

He is the interface between clients and management and uses his industry knowledge and experience to combine his responsibilities in the areas of On-site assessment of situation at Beats, Co-ordination/Supervision of Security Operations and Management of general contracts.

He is also a Member of the Association of Professional Security Consultants (APSC) and an Associate Member of the American Society for Industrial Safety. He delivers training and consultancy services to our clients as a product of the company.

Oni Oluwabunmi (Human Resources & Admin)

Olubunmi Oni joined the services of Arksego Nigeria Limited as the HeadHuman Resources & Administration with the mandate to revamp the Human Resources & Admin operations of the business. She has successfully accomplished this  by restructuring the Recruitment, Selection & Staffing procedure, actively working on the Compensation and & Benefit policies and processes, adequately focusing on the Training & Development unit as well as Employee Safety & Health.

Prior to this, she served in the capacity as Group Head of Human Resources with Independent Newspaper Limited. She has twelve (12) years work experience spanning across different sectors:

She served as the Group Head of Human Resources with AIM Group.
Human Resources Executive at 3line Card Management Company.
Head Human Resources & Admin with Ashmart Nigeria.
Business Unit Manager R & B Company in the UK.

Human Resources Administrator (Operations) with Resort Bicourtney Group. Human Resources Officer with Peachtree Communications and client Service Officer with Navamak Ventures during her NYSC year.

She is a versatile professional with professional certifications from the Institute of Chartered Economists of Nigeria (ICEN), an Associate member of Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM), a member of Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) Virginia, USA.

Tolulope Ekunola (Finance Manager)

Tolu Ekunola oversees the Finance and Accounting functions at Arksego.

He is a graduate of Accountancy and an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Accounting.

Tolu has over eleven years post qualification experience in various sectors of the economy – Manufacturing, Oil & Gas, Automobile, Construction, Consulting, Logistics and General services.

A versatile and result-oriented person, his broad scope and varied experience has substantially exposed him to numerous challenges in the dynamic business environment. He is well versed in the use of accounting software to generate reports for management’s decision making.
